Do you have the vision?

Corporations have big ‘Vision’ and the only time it is covered is the induction. Else it is limited to be displayed on notice boards and websites.
In our workshops on Vision, 95 % of the employees cannot quote their company’s vision.
They have to refer to the website.
This implies that there is a lack of alignment between the Company Vision and the purpose the employee has. Of course, just as the goal of the company is to earn profits, the goal of an employee is to earn a salary.
In our ‘Shared Vision’ workshop, we cover the following:
Build a shared vision: Create a shared vision that aligns with the collective goals, aspirations, and values of the team.
Sense the purpose: Define the company’s purpose in clear, concise terms that are aligned with the vision.
Shape a shared future: Engage in activities that emphasize the importance of a collective future.
Quantified goal setting: Set quantified goals for achieving the vision, ensuring that progress can be tracked and measured.
Create action plan: Create quantified action plans to achieve individual set goals.
This is of immense help. Such vision exercises create a sense of harmony and joy where employees are inspired to go an extra mile.
Have you ever done a ‘Vision’ exercise in your company?
With gratitude,
Dr. Sonali Wagle
